Paridigm Shift In Seeking Treatment Of Your Mind Spirit

Years ago our parents had one option when it came to healthcare.  Go and see a doctor.  Little consideration of  mind or spirit.

That was then.  This is now.

Here in New Zealand because of a variety of factors we are currently experiencing a shortage of GP’s.  This shortage is predicted to worsen over the next five years.

Not to worry.   At the same time as the list of available GP’s shortened, the alternative health industry boomed.  Unfetted by legislation and welcomed by a curiously greedy public the list of alternative therapy for any aliment is overwhelming.

There is however a sad little majority who hasn’t yet caught on.  The mainstream medical establishment.

Heaviliy subsidised somewhat foolishly by our Government they remain blissfully unaware of the power of the health market.  Choice is the new monopoly of healthcare.

  1. Hi Keri,

plus insurance. People get conditioned to have much of their health cared for/paid for by insurance.

Which often does not recognize other modalities.

I’m really not expecting Insurance to do so. It’s not its job.

Taking care of our own health, stewarding that ourselves, and creating the resources with which to do so, THAT is OUR job!

  7. Results, results, results.

We do what works… albeit short term results tend to trump long term fixes a majority of the time.

Yes, this is so true. Alternative medicine is more powerful than many people realize. I believe more and more people will use alternative medicine as time goes on.

  10. Very happy to hear about this development in New Zealand where people are taking charge of their own health care and maintenance.

You, and we in the States, have to be on the alert for the medical and pharmaceutical gang trying to limit our freedom of choice through legislation. Legislation presented of course for our own good because we don’t have the brains to take care of ourselves.

    Good work.
